      <image:caption>Hey, I’m Jen — Founder and CEO of Beyond Body Coaching. I grew up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan — fishing, canoeing, making potpurri, and shooting guns, like every good redneck girl does. My tom-boy-ish ways helped me thrive in athletics, competing in track &amp; field at the provincial level and being heavily involved in every other sport I could get my hands on. Things took a turn for the worst when I struggled with being bullied in high school, leading me to turn to a life of partying, smoking, &amp; hard drugs followed by depression, weight gain, and all the teenage angst you can imagine. I was able to turn my life around when I found fitness again, this time in the form of Yoga DVD’s.. or maybe VHS tapes, I cant remember — yes i’m that old. Yoga turned into running which turned into dabbling in the weight room, which turned into getting my personal trainer certification in 2008, mostly so I could learn how to take care of my own body. Since then I completed a degree in Sport, Health, &amp; Physical Education and have taken over 15 additional courses and certifications to grow my skills as a coach. Flash forward to 14+ years later of working as a coach. I’m grateful every day that I get to support women going through their transformation and doing what I L-O-V-E. Outside of living out my dream running Beyond Body Coaching, you can find me sipping a nice warm coffee while walking my dog Blue, traveling to find that next warm surf spot, and chasing sunsets with friends in this beautiful corner of the world I call home. Jen’s Coaching Style: Compassionate yet straight-shooting, sends lots of “HELL YESSSS” voice notes in response to your big mindset shifts, loves talking science, giving practical solutions, and helping you understand the “why” behind your program.</image:caption>
